Apparently the "new wave" in education and child development is that perhaps boys learn differently than girls, and their education should be approached differently. I find this topic fascinating, since I work with children who are both boys and girls. I have seen the look of boredom, and the boy rolling around on the floor out of boredom while the girls listened intently to the leader. So is seperating them the answer? I don't know how I feel about this. I may just have to read the book.

FW school board was actually pushing to segregate the genders in middle school science and math classes a few years back. I am still undecided as to whether that's a good thing or not. What other reason is there for going to middle school, if not to look at boys??? :)
True. I can't recall that there was anything else important that we did there....
we'd put our little guy in a school that separates boys from girls. the aclu is missing the point as they often do. i've read a book byt the author they reference and he makes some really good points.
