When I Grow Up...
I want to be a foodie. I don't think I qualify as one right now, because I feel like a foodie should know things, like that there are different kinds of scallops. There are sea scallops and bay scallops? Who knew? But I do really love food. I love trying different kinds of food, and there are very few things I won't at least try. Like tonight, I was watching the Top Chef from this season where they did Dim Sum, and I would not even be opposed to trying the chicken feet. Although, it sounds like she botched them, and I'd rather try some that are properly cooked to get the full effect. But, still. I like to try different things. I also love finding good restaurants.
I consulted the source of all knowledge, Wikipedia, and it was confirmed. Foodies are food (and wine--but that parts never gonna happen) aficionados. I clearly don't know enough about food to be called a foodie. Wikipedia told me so. But I aspire to know more.
Also, when I grow up, I wanna be famous.

Ew. Eating chicken feet does not qualify you as a 'foodie', sorry! But if you are interested in being a food risk taker go right ahead. In fact, go to Viet Nam and be a guest at someone's house! You get to eat really yummy stuff like snake blood, grilled dog or cat, or caterpillars and other types of yummy insects. I DARE you!! :)
Otherwise, you can be a foodie and just eat really good food.
UM... delicacy means luxury and chicken feet are way to common to qualify. A trusted source told me that they are just skin and bones anyway, not really worth the effort. My favorite is when the chicken head comes out on the platter. Yum!! Perhaps I am too picky about the living things that I am willing to eat, but I see no flaw in this. Why am I gross? Because I prefer plants over animals/insects etc?

Um, chicken feet are considered a delicacy. And blood falls under the same category as living things, as far as I'm concerned.... Also, you're gross.
